The planks are currently missing between km 4.7 and km 5.2 (Sep 2024). It is possible to cross the path, but feet may get wet. Ankle-high shoes are recommended!

It was a very beautiful tour through moorland. In Finland, a boardwalk usually leads through wetlands and over sensitive soils. However, there was a long section on this trail without boardwalks, so we were walking on deep ground and our shoes sank down to our ankles.

Arrived in Lapland at the Arctic Circle. The first hike was to the Arctic Circle Trails area. The path led us past rapids, through moor and pine forest. There was also cranberries to eat 😀.
