To the north of the Achensee is the Gufferthütte, also known as the Ludwig-Aschenbrenner-Hütte, at an altitude of 1475 meters. On the edge of two raised bogs and surrounded by the mountains of the German-Austrian border area, there could hardly be a nicer place to take a break.
