Beach close to nature and little visited.

Very nice boardwalk, which, due to its elevation, leaves both directions open for the NSG Kleiner Binnensee or the Baltic Sea!

Grazing animals such as goats, sheep, horses or cattle can make a contribution to nature conservation. For example, Scottish Highland cattle can help protect areas from bush encroachment. The cattle eat old grass and the young shoots of bushes/trees and thus help to preserve semi-open landscapes. This also preserves the habitat of rare animals and plants.

The only marina in the Hohwacht bay. Only shortly before Kiel or in Heiligenhafen there are sailboats again. Remarkable.

A nice, quiet beach / at least in late August and right next to the parking lot there are shops: groceries, hygiene articles, tobacco products, souvenirs, everything you need was and access to the dog beach, which is very tight. The beach, not the access :))

Flunder Viewing Platform

Highlight • Viewpoint

The 370-square-meter sea platform is made of oak planks; the supporting steel structure is suspended from a pylon set at a depth of ten meters. With its blue paint finish, the steel tube is the platform's unmistakable central element: when viewed from above, it resembles the shape of the flatfish, the "flounder."

The steel girders of the substructure, which extend fan-like into the Baltic Sea, are suspended from the structure's pylon by a cable structure. This makes the platform appear to "float" three meters above the water. From the beach at the DLRG tower, a three-meter-wide walkway leads directly to the flounder. This splits again shortly before the platform and runs past the pylon on both sides.

The flounder is easily accessible by wheelchair, stroller, etc.

It's actually quite easy if you're going on a short holiday to the Baltic Sea. One hike to the left, one to the right and one into the hinterland.

However, I did the hike to the left on the day of arrival because the weather was so wonderful. I'd like it to stay that way, you can always put on …

The "round" becomes longer 😉 with only a short shared stretch. It only worked at the expense 💰 of asphalt. However, it was easily bridged with in-depth conversations 😅. Besides, the natural beach 🌊🐚 was definitely worth it. In any case, we all had 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️🦮🐕 fun. The final stop was (as usual... if you can say that after two days …
