Paved Road Through the Corralejo Dunes

Highlight (Segment) • Cycleway

This asphalt segment lies within the Corralejo Dunes. You can easily explore all the beaches from your road bike here: it is a relatively calm, local road with cycling-friendly traffic. There are supermarkets and cafés along the road.

You can see not only the island of Lobos from here, but the view on Lanzarote is so clear that you could almost count the houses in Arrecife. It is …

Coastal Road Near Parque Holandés

Highlight (Segment) • Cycleway

After the dunes, the route becomes slightly wavy and the coast is further away, but it's great to drive on the asphalt and I still had a good tailwind from the north.

From this point you can see very good views of the well-known Montaña Colorada.

Lajares is a very traditional town in Fuerteventura, and a visit to the four-blade mill is recommended. This was in operation until 1960 grinding gofio.

Quite tough through the interior of Fuerteventura also because of the traffic. Descending at 50km/h with cars around you is not very relaxing.... But after the flat tire in Puerto del Rosario the last part was lovely tailwind along the quiet coast back to Corralejo.
