Very nice lake. Here many species of birds frolic. There is also a lookout tower.

Here you can come in harmony with nature, because peace and relaxation around the lakes are paired with the beauty of the flora and fauna.

Hüttensee Circular Trail

Highlight • Trail

Worth a visit in every season. The tour can be run well through the "expanded" paths. As a wildlife and nature photographer, the Meißendorfer Teiche are really great. No matter whether cormorants or swans, countless bird species can be observed and photographed here. With a little luck, I could even watch the sea eagle one or two times.

In the winter time it can also happen that the main pond is drained, which means that it can also be found at dusk, e.g. Watch deer or wild boar.

Then simply over to Gut Sunder and end the day with a piece of homemade cake.

April 11, 2023,Meißendorf - Hüttenseerunde plus Gut Sunder 👬🌤🌧❄️
A heavy hailstorm caught us on the way. Then the sun came out again. We really enjoyed this walk. Mainly because we didn't meet anyone ☺️👍.
But we saw and heard many birds 🦆🦅🐦🪿. Unfortunately they don't want to be photographed by me, only the brooding swan sat patiently.

Hello, the Meißendorf Ponds and the Bannetze Moor are a first-class bird sanctuary and nature reserve. The term "ponds" is actually an understatement, because anyone exploring this fascinating corner of the Southern Heath will likely think of a full-fledged lake district. Ciao

Again it was very nice here, although the paths are quite soft. Presumably because of the high water level, the front ponds are already nicely filled.

Before we drive to Heike in Päse, we take a look at Gut Sunder and the area of the Meißendorfer ponds.

Built in the 16th century, Gut Sunder was owned by the Schrader family from 1752 to 1977, who had gained experience in managing pond estates in Schleswig-Holstein. Over time, over 300 ponds were created on the heath and moorland …

Attention no shade - headwear recommended in summer. Can be managed with a stroller and bicycle.

Family holidays in the Südheide, there is also time for one or two walks together.
Today it was about the Hüttensee. Fortunately, despite the bad forecast, the weather played along most of the time and it remained largely dry.
At first we found it a little difficult to find the entrance to the circular route, after that everything went smoothly. …

Idyllic little walk from the holiday home through the Meißendorf ponds (with lots of blackberries.)

The large artificial fish ponds are drained in winter. So it was a whole new experience there today. On April 15th if the water is supplied again, then the birds will surely come back. Still nice!
