Hiking

On the approximately 10 km long dyke trail, the hiker can enjoy the unique natural landscape to the fullest. The nearly 600-hectare Rantumbecken is one of the most beautiful and species-rich bird sanctuaries in northern Germany, where more than 50 bird species breed and rest. Especially at the time of bird migration thousands of birds can be seen in huge swarms in Rantumbecken at high tide.
