Mountain biking

There are a number of bathing lakes in the Heilbronn area, but none is as big as the Breitenauer See. It is accordingly full here on nice days. Sometimes even people from Stuttgart come here. A great way to cool off your feet in the lake or to strengthen yourself a little in the restaurant or at the kiosk. However, one should note that entry to the bathing area costs 3 euros during the season (however, it is often only collected on weekends).

Nice place to just let your mind wander. I like to stop there and just sit in the meadow for a while

At the end of 2020, work began on draining the lake. The Breitenauer See flood retention basin had to undergo an in-depth safety inspection. To do this, all of the water had to be drained so that all safety-relevant systems could be examined and repaired. Then the lake was empty and offered interesting insights. From June 2022, the lake slowly filled up again and today has its original water level again.
