The park, which is located on the Bahnhofstraße, was acquired in 1842 from the spot Visselhövede as a burial ground. The field was previously part of the Rohlmannshof. From 1842 to 1909 and a little bit beyond that, it was buried here in Visselhövede. Today, the former "old" cemetery is the city park. The boulder set up at the edge of the city park recalls the town of Visselhövedes in 1938.
