The Große Timmler Schwarzsee (also Timmels Schwarzsee) is one of the deepest and largest high mountain lakes in South Tyrol. It is located in the rear Passeiertal valley near the Timmelsjoch-Hochalpenstraße in the Stubai Alps at an altitude of 2,514 meters. It is approx. 250 meters long, 250 meters wide and up to 30 meters deep.
