Mountaineering
The Mythenweg trail to the Grosser Mythen starts at Holzegg and leads steeply uphill over 47 numbered switchbacks. The well-maintained, but demanding mountain trail winds through rocky terrain and exposed passages. Steel cables and chains offer additional safety in some places. With every meter of altitude gained, the view becomes more impressive. After about 2.4 kilometers, you reach the summit at 1,899 meters with a fantastic panoramic view over Central Switzerland.
