William Hawrelak Park spans over 320 acres and has a network of scenic trails that pass through patches of forests, meadows, lawns and along the banks of the North Saskatchewan River. There are nice views of the city skyline, and the opportunity to spot local wildlife such as deer, foxes, and a variety of birds, especially around the pond in the centre of the park. In the winter, this park is home to the Edmonton Ski Club, and there are year-round festivals, concerts, and outdoor movie nights.
