    Tips

    August 17, 2026

The Cabragh Wetlands are semi-natural floodplain habitat on the River Suir. The diverse eco system includes reedbed, tall herb swamp, wet grassland, calcareous fen, transition mire, alluvial woodland, watercourse, lake, ponds and springs.

These areas are important habitats, they also help clean the water by filtering and oxygenation it, and slow down the flow, creating flood prevention.
