In 2026 no ticket needed it is a one room museum but if you are interested in the story of the trade route you will love it.
Set in the western, older part of Shuhe, this small museum tells the story of the Chama Gudao — the caravan route that carried compressed tea north to Tibet and brought horses back to China for over a thousand years. Saddles, trade documents and period photographs fill a restored Naxi courtyard complex that has kept much of its original structure, so the building is as much part of the visit as the collection.
