Arkell Spring Grounds is an active City of Guelph wellfield as well as a network of forest trails, so access is more controlled than in a typical park. The trails wind through wooded sections outside the operational water-supply areas and are used for both hiking and mountain biking. Access is restricted to members of the Guelph Hiking Trail Club or GORBA, with day passes available for biking.
