The Roman Catholic Church of St. Catherine of Alexandria (Kostel svaté Kateřiny Alexandrijské) was built in the Baroque style by the Lombard master builder Jan Canevalle on the foundations of an older Gothic building. This predecessor church, first mentioned in 1496 and successor to an initial church from 1373, was demolished in 1688. The new church was consecrated on October 8, 1690. It houses numerous works of art, including altars, sculptures, and paintings by renowned artists. Throughout its history, the church has been damaged several times by fires and wars, but has always been restored.
