The Alp Vorfrutt is located on the eastern side of the Klausen. It borders directly on the pass summit. Along the Klausenpass road, Vorfrutt extends between 1700 and 1950 m above sea level. Vorfrutt is home to eight alpine farms as an upper pasture. Urnerboden serves as the lower pasture for all of them. Two herdsmen families make cheese on Vorfrutt.
