Hiking

The Schlageter Memorial on Jakobsberg in Porta Westfalica was unfinished and bombed during World War II. The memorial has been modified; the stone base, still six meters high today, has been covered with a walkable viewing platform.

Hiking

The view from the top into Weserbergland is limited by a narrow window between the trees. Very interesting is the history of the creation of the monument during World War II, which is displayed on a board at the TV tower / Jakobsberg. Beside the monument there are some benches and a somewhat dilapidated refuge.
