Two kilometers after Zollhaus, turn right just before the Lichtena bus stop. This is followed by a 4 km climb on a paved but narrow road. The Burlaya inn offers a breathtaking view of the entire valley leading to the Lac Noir. It also offers a playground for children. The menu is simple, as befits a mid-mountain establishment: cheese crust, fondue, cold cheese and bone-in ham plate, homemade hamburger, and peasant sausage which is not recommended. All other dishes are good to very good and the service is lovely. A good address off the beaten track.
