Pajhede Forest boasts some of the most glorious scenery in Northern Jutland with its beautiful trees, lakes and creeks. During the Second World War two German planes crashed into the forest, leading to the tragic deaths of both pilots. One was never recovered, while the other was discovered still attached to his parachute, hanging from a tree.
