The Holy Church, the Catholic church, is equipped with stained glass windows by Franz Mayer and an altar of Carrara marble depicting three scenes from the Passion of Christ. Holy Cross Church is a large, 19th-century neo-Gothic parish church, built in grey natural stone and recognizable by its slender tower and pointed arch windows. The building stands slightly elevated on the east side of Kenmare, forming a clear silhouette above the centre. Inside, the warm wooden roof and the softly coloured glass are particularly striking.
