The German dummy airfield Oostelbeers (SF38) was a fake military object from World War II on the Landschotse Heide. The German occupiers built it in 1940 to lure Allied bombers away from the real Eindhoven airfield (Fliegerhorst Eindhoven).
With a wooden dummy aircraft on rails, a fake runway, and fake hangars, an active airbase was suggested. The British RAF bombed the site multiple times.
Today, a memorial monument with original rails (on the Oirschotsweg) and a German control bunker in the woods recall this deception.
