The Christ the King of Bienno is a monumental statue in bronze and gilded copper (pure gold) 8.5 meters high, erected between 1929 and 1931 on the Colle della Maddalena in Valle Camonica. The work of sculptor Timo Bortolotti, it dominates the landscape, symbolizing the reconciliation between State and Church (Lateran Pacts).
