This is where you can park your car to head into the Grand Canyon on the South Canyon Trail. There is nothing here. No sign, no restrooms, no facilities. To hike into the canyon here and camp in there, you need to obtain a permit for backcountry area AC9. Since the trail is truly more a route, I recommend staying a full day on the Colorado River to rest and explore the beauty of the area.
