Located just south of Camanche, Iowa, the Mississippi River Eco Tourism Center showcases the wildlife of the "Great River." The facility's standout feature is a 8,000-gallon aquarium filled with native Mississippi River fish, along with unique displays like a crawl-through turtle exhibit and replicas of Iowa’s record-breaking fish. Beyond the indoor exhibits, the center serves as a gateway to the river’s backwaters, offering canoe and kayak rentals and naturalist-guided tours on the Blue Heron pontoon boat.
