Today in Dahmen, the granary, parts of the factory ruins, and the former workers' houses are the main reminders of this brief episode of early industrialization in Mecklenburg. The factory was an attempt to connect the predominantly agricultural region to industry. It closed as early as 1905 – after only about 30 years.
