This Grade 4 out-and-back track climbs steadily to the highest peak in southern Western Australia at 1,099 m. The track is well defined but steep, with long stone stair sections and exposed, rocky stretches as you gain elevation. You’ll feel the climb, especially on the upper slopes where there’s little shade. Weather can shift quickly near the summit, so carry water, sun protection, and an extra layer. Allow time for a sustained descent on tired legs.
