The Colonnes du Trône are two impressive columns on the **Place de la Nation** in Paris. The monumental gateways were built in the 18th century and originally formed the entrance to the former throne route towards the Château de Vincennes.
The two columns are approximately **28 meters high** and are crowned with statues of King **Louis XIV** and allegorical figures referring to the French monarchy. They are a reminder of the time when this place formed an important entrance to Paris.
