After the Second World War (1946/47), 29 families came to Sindeldorf as displaced persons. Their origins: East Prussia, Upper Silesia, Yugoslavia, Hungary, and Czechoslovakia. Housing was scarce, food was scarce, and tensions between long-time residents and newcomers were inevitable. But from the initial coexistence, a peaceful coexistence developed – a new home was born.
