The Sintra trails lead through the vast Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, which stretches from the Serra de Sintra mountains to the Atlantic coast and Cabo da Roca. This protected area covers approximately 145 km² and combines dense forests, mountain ridges, and dramatic cliffs with historical sites such as the Castelo dos Mouros (Moorish Castle). Thanks to its proximity to Lisbon, the park is one of Portugal's most diverse and popular hiking regions.
