The Deanery Parish Church of the Assumption of Mary in Fügen is the oldest sacred building in the Zillertal valley. The hall church, which is Gothic at its core and dates back to the late 15th century, was magnificently baroque-ized in the 17th and 18th centuries. It impresses with artistic ceiling paintings, a monumental high altar, and a historic count's crypt.
