An alternative to taking the main road from Mallnitz to Obervellach. A short, steep climb after the Mallnitz train station. Immediately afterward, the bike descends just as steeply. Pushing is recommended here. Then you'll find yourself on the disused railway line. Here, the bike rolls perfectly on fine gravel all the way to the former Kaponig train station. After that, a narrow, winding road descends to Obervellach. The road is perfectly paved. Good brakes are a must.
