    The nicer alternative between Gerardmer and Remiremont and the D23 further south and the main road north. In this part of the Vosges, the country roads are busy during the season and there are fewer alternatives - this is one. Watch out: very steep, i.e. Divide forces. Alternative: federal road over the mountain to LaBresse and use the super beautiful bike path there.
