Walton Hall and Gardens is listed on the English National Heritage list as a grade II listed building. Built in 1836 for Sir Gilbert Greenall by architect Edmund Sharpe, the impressive house and parkland remained in the family until 1941. Now owned by the Warrington Borough Council, the hall and gardens are now home to various attractions and events. You can visit a children's zoo, play golf and bowls, and attend various concerts. There is also a cafe. Walton Hall and Gardens is open from 8am until dusk daily. More information can be found here: warrington.gov.uk/waltongardens
