The Schildwacht is a prominent mountain south of Geislingen an der Steige in the Göppingen district, reaching a height of 665.7 meters. It is best known for the imposing Ostland Cross, which has been prominently visible above the town since 1950.

The plateau near the summit of the Schildwacht was once a beautiful, typical juniper heath. Sadly, it is no longer grazed, is becoming increasingly overgrown, and is steadily losing its charm. ;-(
