Brokeloh has won several competitions such as "Our Village Should Become More Beautiful - Our Village Has a Future," including district winners in 2002, district winners in 2003, and winners of the 2004 national competition. Having received the gold medal, it can rightfully call itself the "Golden Village" or "Germany's Most Beautiful Village."
In 2006, Brokeloh also won the silver medal in the European "Entente Florale" competition.
