From 1896 to 1985 (freight traffic until 1989), Harxheim had this station on the now-disused Bodenheim–Alzey railway line.
The stations at that time (Gau-Bischofsheim, Harxheim, Mommenheim, Selzen, Hahnheim, Köngernheim, Undenheim, Bechtolsheim, and Gau-Odernheim) covered a total of 30.9 km of railway line.
Originally known as "Harxheim (Rheinh.)," the station was renamed "Harxheim-Lörzweiler" on April 1, 1910.
Today, the building is privately owned, but you can still admire it as a historical reminder of the old days while cycling past on the beautiful Amiche cycle path... 🚴♂️
