The Cape May Lighthouse and Bunker loop offers a delightful touring cycling experience, blending coastal beauty with historical intrigue. You'll pedal along predominantly flat, well-paved paths, enjoying expansive views of both the Delaware Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. The route takes you past diverse wetlands, through charming Victorian neighborhoods, and right up to the impressive Cape May Lighthouse and a historic World War II bunker on the beach.

This easy 10.0-mile (16.1 km) route, with only 93 feet (28 metres) of elevation gain, is perfect for a relaxed ride that takes about 55 minutes. It's exceptionally family-friendly and suitable for all skill levels, though strong winds can sometimes add a bit of a challenge. Parking is generally available near the starting point in Cape May, but it's always wise to arrive early during busy periods.

Cape May is renowned as a major migratory route for various bird species, making this loop a fantastic spot for birdwatching, particularly within Cape May Point State Park.
