In the south of Arnstadt is the 1956 opened animal park "Fasanerie". On an area of about 2.5 hectares live 55 different species. Native species such as fallow deer and mouflon are at home here in the zoo. But some exotics, different parakeets, monkeys, pot-bellied pigs, llamas and more can be seen. A walk through the hilly terrain of the zoo can be wonderfully continued in the underlying forest.
