The trolley commemorates Altrip's brickmaking tradition. In 1904, a kilometer-long narrow-gauge railway line was approved. Ten years later, 10 kilometers of track had already been laid (the Riedwaldbahn), on which two locomotives operated with 150 tipping trolleys and platform wagons.
