The total area of approximately 380 hectares is managed cooperatively by the Berg und Seeboden Corporation. Alpine farming (190 hectares) has always been the primary focus. With the help of employed alpine farmers, around 600 animals, primarily cattle but also suckler cows, are grazed annually on the various alpine pastures of Holderen, Grod, Hinterboden, and Ruodisegg. The remaining areas are protected forests, nature reserves, or unproductive land.
