On July 31, 2016, the newly designed Steinberg roundabout, featuring the bronze rat "Ludwig," was inaugurated. Ludwig is a comic character created by the Dietzenbach artist Uschi Heusel. Prior to the roundabout's opening, there was controversy surrounding its design, and a citizens' initiative was even formed to oppose the "rat roundabout."
