One of Denmarks first factories, Engelsholms Papirfabrik, was located near the now museum of Randbøldal. The factory was water powered and produced paper and later textile as well.

Dalkilde - Det Hvide Palæ is the grand but slightly neglected building on the hill overlooking the parking area (formerly the drying area for the factory). The estate was acquired by a family in 2019, who aim to restore it and nurture a creative space for the community.
