Steinberggasse, known as Hintergasse until 1904, was originally an unadorned alleyway. The Fishmaid fountain was the first to be erected in 1938. The three Judd fountains were added a little later, in 1996. Today, four fountains, one traditional and three modern water features, characterize the wide-open Steinberggasse.
