The two cricketer statues represent the Bedser brothers, Alec and Eric who were born and lived most of their lives in Sussex. They were both highly skilled and played for both the regional and national team on numerous occasions. The statues are frozen in moments after the ball was hit and you should take a moment to see if you can find the bronze ball yourself.
