This sculpture is one of the few public works by Hepworth in stone and was titled Rosewall after the hill that rises west of St. Ives. The sculpture was located on a plinth within a pool to follow the artist's wishes that the piece should be seen across water. A major waterside regeneration scheme is being developed in Chesterfield; known as 'Chesterfield Waterside' and it is intended that this work will form the centrepiece of the development.
