This bronze elephant covered in forget-me-nots was created by sculptor Andy Scott and unveiled in 2019. It is a memorial to those children and their families who suffered due to the historical practices at Mortonhall Crematorium and according to its creator is a nod to the saying “an elephant never forgets”.
