The "Mill Pond" in Obenstrohe, a district of Varel on the Jade Bay, is an ancient forest lake in the Seghorn Forest. The "Mill Pond" used to be used as a recreational lake and rowing boats were used. Today, Varel sports fishermen look after the lake. A fish educational trail has also been created with information about flora and fauna. The beautiful circular hiking trails invite you to take walks at any time of year. Enjoy the peace and nature.
