The Steinerne Rinne (Steinerne Cirque) is an impressive, steeply rising cirque in the Wilder Kaiser range and leads directly up to the Ellmau Gate. The ascent through this mighty gully is one of the most impressive mountain hikes in the region. Surrounded by the vertical rock faces of the Predigtstuhl and Goinger Halt mountains, the trail climbs steadily over scree and rocky steps – surefootedness and good fitness are essential.
During the ascent, views repeatedly open up into the Kaiserbach Valley and up to the wild peaks of the Kaiser.
