The Igreja de Santa Ana in Tavira is a small, charming church, probably dating back to the 15th century. It is situated on a hill overlooking the city and the Gilão River. The church has a simple façade and a quiet interior with Baroque elements. Although no longer used as a main church, it remains an atmospheric reminder of Tavira's religious history.

From the river, a wide staircase leads up to the chapel with a beautiful view of the old town, especially of the church of Misericordia and the castle across the river.

Beautiful little church on the hill opposite the old town. Inside there is a magnificent 18th century carved wooden altar. The main altar is elaborately gilded.
