Cycling
The Ocean Beach Bike Path is a 5 mile stretch of the San Diego River Trail. It starts at Dog Beach and goes up the mountains along the San Diego River. It is concreted and is suitable for both hiking and cycling. Small detours lead to the beach and through a lagoon landscape. Along the way there are many parks and sports fields with public toilets and ample parking.
